Dr. Jan has helped me, as a relatively new runner, deal with the aches and pains of training as well as overcome a recent injury. His treatments work FAST and, if you follow his advice for PT exercises they don’t come back. He is relentless and persistent in how he diagnoses and treats injuries. If you want to hear the words “rest” and “surgery” go to an orthopedic dr. If you want to get back to training this is the place to go. Direct texts about appointments cut out the middle man and make scheduling easy. He keeps evening hours and is willing to see patients on weekends and holidays if necessary. Addtionally – he has helped several of my friends through issues that doctors were unable to fix.

I was referred to Dr. Jan Kasprowicz by Roger Aspholm, whose opinion I value with the highest regard. I had a very debilitating injury that I was receiving treatment by another doctor for a few months and it just would not go away. After just 2 weeks of visits with Dr. Jan, my leg improved so much that I was able to get back on the bike and ride it almost 100% in that short period of time. I was so impressed that I even brought in my 16 year old daughter for treatment as well and will in the future for any other injuries that may occur. I was also very impressed with his attitude (haha) and Sports Recovery knowledge.
Dr Jan is very polite and professional. He treats multiple different athletes, injuries and health issues. After only one treatment, the issues I had from running completely disappeared. He gave me some exercises to try at home which helped strengthen my weakness. After my second visit I could not have been any happier. He always runs on time, the office is super clean, he communicates via phone or text and always responds rather quickly. I went to an orthopedic in the past for my running issues and will never go again. I personally don’t want to be immobilized, pop pills or be injected with all sorts of toxic medications which in the end don’t work anyway. I am thrilled to have found this place and am also amazed that Dr Jan also has a hyperbaric chamber which he uses to help treat some autistic children. Dr Jan has a solid understanding of bio-mechanical physics of the body. He explains things that he is doing down to a cellular level. And always asks if I have any questions. Highly recommend.
Parole Officer assigned to response and Fugitive Unit / Active participant in Cross Fit, Long Distance Cycling and Mens Fast Pitch Softball – Prior to coming to New Jersey Chiropractic and Sports Recovery, I had undergone two knee surgeries that were a direct result of Duty Related Injuries. Because the injuries were related to work, I was required to be treated by State Appointed Doctors, that were orthopedics, but not knee specialist. I completed the required PT sessions, post surgery, within a short time I was agonized with knee, lower hamstring and lower back pain. This hampered my physical performance at work and my active lifestyle. I finally had enough of seeing state Physical Therapist who basically just managed my knees and decided to come see Dr. Kasprowicz. I explained the nature of my pain and my frustration with my injuries since surgery. After only 2 visits, it was clear to Dr. K that my overall issue was a very weak core. and an imbalance of strength within various leg muscles. He had treated me using multiple therapies- Laser, cold compressions, specialized exercises, his hands, Rock tape, etc….Most of which I have never seen before. Weeks later and after feeling 100% better, he recommended that I try something different. He recommended CrossFit! He explained how CrossFit benefits core and overall body strength along with joint mobility. Needless to say, 1 year later I am hooked, at 42 I am in better shape and stronger than when I graduated from the Police Academy in 1997. I still do see Dr. K when I sometimes push myself too hard and need to recover sooner than later. As of 2 weeks ago, I came in to see him after my 300 mile bicycle ride from Northern NJ to Washington DC. Thanks for being educated and passionate about what you do.
When I first came to Dr. Jan, I had extremely limited mobility and complete weakness of my left foot, ankle and leg due to the residual effects of a prior brain injury for a meningioma that I had removed in 2009. I had been through physical therapy, personal trainers at a gym, and using medications to increase my mobility, create strength and alleviate pain but it wasn’t until I met Dr. Jan and began to work out with him that I began to see results. Dr. Jan started with the fundamentals of movement to create more strength and stability using different and exciting techniques that stimulated the neurons in my brain which is exactly what I need and require to keep progressing forward in my recovery. I began to see significant improvement within the first couple months of starting this journey with Dr. Jan. He has helped my daily life tasks such as walking, climbing stairs, level of pain become so much better. Dr. Jan has a very positive, fun, high-energy, innovative approach to his patients and particularly in my case. I truly appreciate and am grateful to his innovation and creativity because it is specifically what I need. I absolutely love coming in to workout with Dr. Jan and am excited to see how far we can take my recovery process. We have gotten this far in less than a year and I am so happy and excited to keep seeing the improvements in my condition that ONLY Dr. Jan has made possible. He is the BEST!
I came to Dr. Jan because I wanted to be physically fit and healthy. Heart disease runs in my family and I never want to suffer the way some of my relatives have. Also, losing a few pounds and gaining muscle is always a plus! Since embarking on my body conditioning journey, I have felt stronger and I find that I have more energy which is need when teaching 3 year olds. I have also seen changes to my body both internally and externally. I also have a new found confidence and I am able to push myself to do things I thought I could never do. With the help of Dr. Jan, I now understand what my heart rate means and I am aware that I can burn fat while doing everyday activities. Dr. Jan and Ryan have always encourage me to push myself to do amazing things. I did pull ups- something I thought I’d never do. I now know that I can live a healthy energetic lifestyle because of the knowledge they’ve instilled in me and the confidence I’ve discovered.
I came into New Jersey Chiropractic and Sports Recovery as a new runner with a bummed right knee. After seeing Dr. Jan and addressing the issue (my core stability), I began feeling a lot better performing the exercises he instructed me to perform. Along with transitioning to a standing desk both at work and home, my running has improved tremendously. Before seeing Dr. Jan, I couldn’t run more than three miles without feeling discomfort in my right knee. After a few sessions and transitioning to my standing desk, I began being able to run longer distances without any discomfort. No medications were previously taken prior to visiting New Jersey Chiropractic and Sports Recovery, however, I was using a patellar tendon knee brace. I noticed improvements in my condition within a few weeks of seeing Dr. Jan and implementing his workouts and my standing desk. I can run an entire marathon without knee discomfort! My running performance has improved significantly since coming to New Jersey Chiropractic and Sports Recovery. New Jersey Chiropractic and Sports Recovery does something most chiropractic offices don’t; they think outside the box and help athletes recover quickly so they can get back to their sport. I have been consistently impressed with my ability to recover within a week (or less) after coming in for treatment for an injury related to my running. Where other offices would have asked me to stop running, New Jersey Chiropractic and Sports Recovery treats me and has me running the same day.
When I first began, NJ Chiropractic Sports Recovery, I felt fatigued, tired and really out of shape. As a result, I felt unmotivated, had poor posture, and would become winded very easily. In the past, I have tried strength training and basic cardiovascular work. However, through Dr. Jan’s innovative, challenging and performance based exercise program. I was able to shed body fat and perform exercises I never thought possible. I feel my program is tailored to fit my specific needs and goals. I also feel like a valued client. I look forward to many more training sessions.
I was training for the Philly marathon (23 weeks into a 28 week training program) when I (originally thought) tore the ligaments connected to my pelvis. Dr. Jan was the only name of whom I should see. I called explained my need to see him ASAP. He worked around my busy schedule to see me. Upon meeting him, I knew I was in great hands. Dr. Jan gets athletes – plain & simple! He understands our love of our sports and the mental state we are in when when we are injured. Other doctors don’t “get” athletes and I’ve left feeling discouraged. Dr. Jan would never let me do something my body wasn’t ready for, but he wasn’t overly protective and apprehensive to let me slowly and 100% only while he was with me, get back to my sport. Dr. Jan was super positive when I was feeling low about my injury. His positive attitude and constant reminder that I’d be “even stronger” when I got back really helped me. I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Jan. I’ve sent friends to see him which I wouldn’t do unless I had 100% trust in Dr. Jan.
Dr. Jan at Recovery Team has been working with our cycling team since January 2012. Most of my training regimen had been centered around on activities on the bike. Jan helped to broaden my training approach with a comprehensive plan addressing nutrition, muscle imbalance, and proper rest. The resulting output is I am able to train with more intensity on my scheduled “hard days” and rest properly in between leveraging a combination of active recovery and core work. As the racing season has progressed, I feel as good in August as I did back in April. I highly recommend the services of Jan and his team.
I first injured my back during World War II and have been living with pain since…..after only one treatment my back felt much better and I am happy to report that I am on my way.
I had tried a number of other therapies for my back pain….eventually I was told that I would have to live with the back pain because it was a result of my Fibromyalgia. I came here and the pain has been reduced greatly…..I still have some discomfort but it has become so much more manageable. It is no longer a drag to get out of bed in the morning and I can’t tell you how happy that makes me!!!

I came to see Dr. Kasprowicz “Dr.K” in 2011 with severe low back pain from 2 herniated discs. I already was treated unsuccessfully by my primary care doctor, pain management doctor and 2 other chiropractors, so lets just say I was unsure. During my initial consultation Dr. K reviewed my MRI and asked me many questions about my symptoms and previous care. My condition was explained to me in great detail and I finally understood why the other treatments were not helping. I started tretament the following day on the DRX Decompression machine and had mild temporary relief lasting maybe a day or so. I went to the second visit with some doubt but was re-assured by Dr. K that the treatment only works with repitition. 6 vists later my pain was reduced about 80% and now, Sept 2012, I have been pain free for over a year. I can’t thank Dr. Kasprowicz and his staff enough for finally fixing my back after so many other doctors said they would but didn’t. The other doctors, physical therapists and staff working with Dr. Kasprowicz were all very professional, concerned and carring every time I came in for therapy. I never had to wait for an appointment and most of all I was able to ask as many questions as I needed to feel comfortable.
I have struggled with the discomfort and pain of scoliosis for over 20 years, and Dr. Kasprowicz was patient and thorough in developing a treatment plan to alleviate not only my symptoms, but also aimed at prevention of future symptoms as well. Their office is highly professional as well.
I have been dealing with neck pain for quite some time, when I found Dr. Kasprowicz. I can not praise him enough for how I am feeling today. Not only was he super knowledgeable about anything that had to do with my neck or back, but was able to point me in the right direction on how to have a healthier life style. He was extremely easy to deal with and always willing to answer any questions I had. If you are looking for someone who is determined to get you better, stop here. Dr. Kasprowicz works wonders. Thank you so much Dr. K!!!!
I was recommended by a friend to visit Dr. Kasprowicz after suffering from hand and wrist pain. Dr. Kasprowicz is extremely knowledgeable and the upmost professional and I could not have been happier with my decision. He guided me through the entire process during nerve testing, physical therapy as well as post-recovery. Dr. Kasprowicz has also provided me with terrific nutritional advice which has led to me shed over 40 pounds this year, and most importantly help to keep it off! As I venture into the wonderful world of cycling, his knowledge and expertise has once again proved invaluable. From pain management, to nutrition, to sports and recovery, there is no one I trust more than Dr. K!
Dr. Jan Kasprowicz from “Recovery Team” held an excellent seminar sharing some great information about optimal recovery, proper hydration, and post training nutrition. Dr. Jan has a tremendous amount of knowledge in this field and everyone that attended the seminar walked away with some very valuable information.
I suffered from constant low back and sciatic pain. Any type of motion made put in excruciating pain……my whole life I have been very athletic which made the situation even worse. After using the DRX 9000 I have been 100% pain free for months and have returned to the active lifestyle that I was used to.
